Worry contents and Stress Degree according to Family Environment of Adolescence

Abstract
The purposes of this study were to explore worry contents and stress degree of adolescence. In order to achieve the purposes, variables related to sex, grade, and family environment of adolescence. Four major are the worry contents of adolescence? Second, how are significant differences in stress according to sexes, grade, and family environment of Adolescence? Third, how adolescence¡¯¢âs stress influenced their sex, grade and family environment? Forth, how are significant difference in stress according to worry adolescence? In order to answer these four questions, this study selected a 116 elementary schools, 111 middle schools, and 113 high schools enrollments in Seoul metropolitan city. 430 subjects were participated in this study. Instruments used in this study were family environment questionnaire, worry contents questionnaire, stress rating scale, communication style rating scale, and family interaction rating scale. Data analysis used in this study are frequency, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe-test, and stepwise multiple regression. The results of this study were are follows; First, the primarily worry reported by adolescence was school life. Reported by adolescence that second worry was personal life, and found that final worry was family life. Second, there were significant differences in stress of adolescence according to sexes, grade, and communication style. However, there weren¡¯©«t significant differences in stress of adolescence according to family¡¯s SES levels, family member interaction. Thirds, the stress were influenced by communication style, sex, family member interaction, and grade. Particularly, communication style was powerful influenced in stress more than sex, family member interaction, and grade. Forth, it was found that stress of adolescence are influenced worry related to academic higher than worry of family and personal life.
